BIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
Tim Schwab is a documentary filmmaker and teacher, presently living and working in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2024, he retired from teaching at Concordia University in Montréal, where he was a professor of Communication Studies for twenty-two years, teaching film, video and sound production and documentary studies. From 1989 to 1999 he co-created the films in this collection with his wife and creative partner Christina Craton, a native of Winnipeg, including THE BURNING BARREL, winner of the Distinguished Achievement in Documentary award from the International Documentary Association. In addition, he was co-director and associate producer of the acclaimed Canadian Broadcasting Corporation documentary BEING OSAMA, broadcast on television networks worldwide. His feature documentary CINEMA PALESTINE was released in 2014 and has played in over twenty film festivals in North America, the UK and the Middle East. He is currently producing ‘Wilding the World”, a multi-platform web/audio documentary series on rewilding and environmental restoration.
